Shakib hits milestone en route to victory over former side

Hyderbad Sunrisers registered their third successive win in the competition by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in their very own backyard. Their bowling department shone again under Kane Williamson’s flawless stewardship in order to desecrate the opponents’ fortress.
Winning the toss Hyderabad decided to bowl first and repeated what seems to have become their routine-work; restricting the opponents to a sub-par total and then comfortably chasing it down.
KKR could not manage to post more than 138 runs on the scoreboard and lost eight of their wickets in the process. Bhuvneshaw Kumar scalped 3 wickets for SRH. Shakib Al Hasan and Billy Stanlake also took 2 wickets each while Siddarth Kaul took one scalp.
The inclusion of two U-19 World Cup winners in the starting XI did not pay off KKR. Shubman Gill batted down the order and scored 3 runs.
Only three of the KKR batsmen reached the double-digits score with Chris Lynn’s 49-run knock being the highest individual innings of the side.
In reply, SRH also started losing wickets frequently until Shakib Al Hasan and Kane Williamson stitched a 59-run partnership.

Shakib, meanwhile, reached a landmark as soon as he scored 8 runs. The Bangladesh ace all-rounder completed 4000 runs in the shortest format of the game.
Shakib got out scoring 27 runs and shortly after his departure, Kane Williamson also returned to the pavilion after clubbing a half-century. Yusuf Pathan then finished the game for SRH with an over and 5 wickets in hand. Pathan played a cameo of 17 runs form 7 deliveries against his former team.
Narine picked up two wickets for the home-side. Piyush Chawala, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mitchell Johnson also bagged a wicket apiece.
Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils will face-off each other in their next game on April 16. Hyderabad will travel to Punjab for their next game on April 19.
