CSA extend condolences to Lungi and his family

Cricket South Africa [CSA] sent heartfelt condolences to Proteas fast bowler, Lungi Ngidi and his family, following the sudden passing of his father on Friday.
Mr Jerome Ngidi breathe his last at KwaZulu-Natal hospital, and is survived by his wife, Bongi, and four sons including Ngidi, the youngest one.
“Cricket South Africa is shocked and deeply saddened by the passing away of Mr Ngidi. We would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Lungi and his family. May the Lord be with him and comfort the rest of the Ngidi Family during this difficult time,” CSA President Chris Nenzani reportedly said.

“I am taking this moment to pass my condolences to the Ngidi family. It has to be even more difficult to lose a father figure at such a young age for Lungi. May the soul of Mr Ngidi rest peacefully,” said CSA Chief Executive, Thabang Moroe.
Ngidi will be travelling back to South Africa from the Indian Premier League [IPL] as soon as possible. The fast bowler is yet to make his debut for the Chennai Super Kings, his IPL side.
Another South Africa player—Francois du Plessis is also in doubt for the next game. He is currently recovering from a finger-injury and a side strain.
Chennai will not have Suresh Raina for the next two matches as well. The left-handed batsman has been sidelined due to an injury. Another player of the Chennai-based franchise, Kedar Jadhav had been ruled out of the tournament after a heroic performance in their opening game.
