Younis eyes return to cricket

Former Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has decided to return to the game, but in a new role this time. The most successful Test batsman of Pakistan will take on the role of a coach, according to sources.
With his desire to pursue a career in coaching, the 40-year-old will participate in a Level 3 Coaching Course on April 16 in Lahore. The course is being organized by Pakistan Cricket Board and will be conducted by Australians.
In this course, Younis will be accompanied by compatriot former Pakistan Test spinner Akram Raza who had been a controversial character in the country for alleged betting on Indian Premier League [IPL] back in 2011.

Raza was arrested for the charges and removed from umpiring domestic matches at that time. However, was cleared of all charges later and was restored in the umpires’ panel of Pakistan.
Younis has recently served as the mentor and batting coach for Peshawar Zalmi who became the runners-up in Pakistan Super League [PSL].
The Pakistan batting great has 10,000-odd Test runs to his name at a staggering average of 52. He also led his country to a T20 World Cup glory in 2009. His experience of playing in different conditions around the globe will undoubtedly be a great asset for whoever falls under his stewardship as a coach
