Dates decided ahead of the upcoming BPL

The sixth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League [BPL] is likely to commence at the same venue where the opening game had taken place last year. According to the sources, the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, where the first leg of the tournament was held in 2017, will host the opening match this year.
The sources have also confirmed that the dates have been decided for the upcoming T20 league of Bangladesh. The nationwide popular league is expected to start on 5th October and will finish on November 16. There will be seven franchises in this year’s tournament as well.
With Sylhet being added to the previous two venues—Chittagong and Dhaka in the 5th season of the league, the upcoming season is also likely to take place in these three venues.

Although the last edition of the competition was held between November and December, a BCB spokesperson has reportedly confirmed that the dates of the tournament have been brought forward in order to cope with the schedule of the Tigers.
He said, “We have brought the dates forward because a home series will start by the last week of November.”
BPL 2017 ended with Rangpur Riders’ becoming the champions. Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza set a record of lifting the trophy for the highest four times in the league.
