Tamim-Riyad's face-off marred by rain


After being the runners-up in the Nidahas Trophy, Bangladesh batsman Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah Riyad flew to Lahore to play in the Eliminator 1.
After winning five matches and losing the same number of clashes each, both teams advanced to the playoffs and the winner of this match will face Karachi Kings in the Eliminator 2 to decide the finalist who will play against Islamabad United.
Quetta and Peshawar faced each other twice in the group stages and both came out victorious once each.

Winning the toss, Quetta decided to bowl first against Peshawar at Lahore on Tuesday. Tamim opened the innings for Zalmi alongside Kamran Akmal. Zalmi were at 8/0 in 0.4 overs as the match got interrupted by rain. Tamim has smashed 2 boundaries so far and will look forward to adding more runs to the total as soon as the match resumes.
