Shakib slips while Mahmudullah climbs in T20 rankings

With the end of Nidahas Trophy, there have been significant changes in the ICC T20 player rankings. Although it did not change the position for either of the finalists, Bangladesh and India, few players from all three participants climbed up the ranking ladders.
After bagging 7 wickets in 5 matches, Bangladesh quick Rubel Hossain jumped 40 places to claim the 42nd position in the bowler rankings but Mustafizur Rahman slipped one place to 8th despite scalping the same amount of wickets.

In the batting table, Mushfiqur Rahim gained 14 places and is now in 47th spot after amassing 199 runs in the tournament. Sabbir Rahman, after his crucial knock of 77 runs in the final match, sealed the 18th spot among the top 20 batsmen.
On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan slipped one place to 3rd in the all-rounder rankings while Mahmudullah Riyad made it to the top 10 and gained the 6th position. Riyad played a match-winning innings in the last group match against Sri Lanka and helped Bangladesh storm into the final. He also played an important role with the ball in their previous clash against the host.
For India, Chahal, along with Washington Sundar, played pivotal roles in helping their side win the title. Sundar, with 8 wickets under his belt, rocketed 151 places to claim a career-high 31st position. Chahal vaulted 12 places to claim the 2nd position in the bowler rankings for the first time in his career.
