'We are aware of their capabilities' - Shakib

The clash between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in the last group match produced a dramatic win for the Tigers. Now they will face India in the final of the Nidahas Trophy on Sunday.
Regarding the strength of the opponents, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan said, “We all have an idea about what they [Indian players] are capable of doing. Of course, we will try to refrain from doing things that could make them comfortable but your plans can’t be successful every time.
“I think the start of the match will be important. If we start well, continuing that throughout the match is important.”

“We are trying to keep the pressure off. If we think that a final match against India is something of massive importance then it could create pressure on us. It is just a contest between two teams and whoever do well, will win,” he added.
Bangladesh have lost three knockout games against India in the last three years which includes a World Cup quarter-final, an Asia Cup final and a Champions Trophy final. Moreover, Bangladesh have not won a single final match after becoming a Test playing nation. Apart from the recent tri-nation series final, they had also lost an Asia cup final against Pakistan in 2012.
Talking about the pressure in a final match, Shakib stated, “Everyone’s mentality is not the same neither does everyone thinks alike. (Pressure) may have an impact on someone, may not have any effect on other. I hope that doesn’t affect any of us.”
Earlier, after winning against Sri Lanka, he had said, "India are a very good side but we have the momentum, so hopefully we can continue the performance.”
