India's barren run against Aussies continues

India have once again failed to prevent a series loss against Australia in their own backyard. With their win in the 2nd match of the ongoing 3-ODI series, Australia have sealed the series 2-0 against India.
India have never managed to win a bilateral ODI series against the mighty Aussies. This is the fourth bilateral away-series win by Australia Women against India Women.

After clinching an 8-wicket victory over the sub-continental team in the 1st ODI, Australia outplayed them in the 2nd clash as well. The women led by Mithali Raj never came close to winning the game. They ended up posting 227 runs in reply to Australia’s score of 287.
India Women were last defeated in a bilateral ODI series on home soil back in 2014 when South Africa pulled off a 2-1 victory over them in a 3-ODI series. Since then they won three bilateral ODI series against New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and West Indies respectively. The ongoing series is their first bilateral series at home since November 2016.
Australia have always been outstanding in India. They won all three World Cups hosted by India on their way to becoming the most successful team with six titles in the tournament.
