‘Forget Hathurusingha’

Bangladesh completed a historic win against Sri Lanka at the Premadasa stadium yesterday. The celebrations were wild because after all, nobody expected them to win after Sri Lanka completed their batting.
Despite such a grand achievement, questions were raised about Hathurusingha—who was the coach of the Bangladesh cricket not so long ago—which irked Tamim Iqbal. When asked about the former tactician, Iqbal stated that it is high time to forget him because it is unfair to ask about him as he now coaches the Sri Lankan cricket team.

“Please forget about him. He has left. What more to talk about,” said Tamim Iqbal, as quoted by Dhaka Tribune.
“Hathurusingha has done a lot for us, especially in ODIs. He made a lot of contribution. I think it is unfair now to ask about him since he is coaching another team. We have a different coaching staff now and they are working hard to make the team perform. It is best if we don’t talk about it.”
Indeed, it is high time that the masses move on from Chandika Hathurusingha, who seems to have made a great start to life at Sri Lanka.
