3 reasons why Bangladesh could win against India

After going through some tough time in the series against
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will now begin their journey in Sri Lanka by playing
their first game against India in the Nidahas trophy. Bangladesh have lost
their last four T20I games, so they enter this series as the least favourite
side.
There is, however, a saying that the game of cricket isn’t played
on paper, which is why Bangladesh have a chance to win the game against
their arch-rivals India. In fact, here are the three reasons why the Tigers
could win against the Men in Blue.
#1 Wounded Tiger
The pride of the Bangladesh cricket team has been hurt by
the happenings of the recently concluded home series against Sri Lanka (and
Zimbabwe). They lost the ODI tri-series, Tests and then the subsequent T20I
series to complete a humiliating hattrick of defeats.

In fact, Bangladesh have lost their last six series in a
row, so they are now a wounded tiger—and that is when the predator is at their
most dangerous. With pride on the line, Bangladesh will have to make a
statement—and winning against India would be a good start.
#2 Will remove the Shakib dependency tag
Without Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh is nothing—that is what the
people say. So far, the Tigers haven’t done anything to prove otherwise. Now,
however, the time has come for them to do something about it.
Any team would be at a loss without the best all-rounder in
the world because his absence actually means a team is down by a batsman and a
bowler. There should, however, be no place for over-dependency in any team and
a win against India without their best bowler and batsman would be a good place
to start off—and they would love that.
#3 The fiery Soumya
Soumya Sarkar is an enigma. Ever since his introduction to the international scene, he has been on and off form. 2015 was his year, playing vital knocks in series wins against Pakistan and South Africa, but he hasn’t been able to hit the same heights ever since. In the T20I format, howveer, he has been in superb form since 2017, scoring 286 runs from 9 innings at an average of 31.77.
Indeed, against Sri Lanka in the first T20I, Soumya Sarkar raised a tempest, but couldn’t convert his half-century into a bigger score. The powerplay overs are crucial for any team in their quest for victory and Soumya has the ability to do real damage. He might not be coming off on the back of good form in the Dhaka Premier League, but never count him out for he can win you games.
