Tim Paine implies South African is lying

The controversy seems to have no end as Tim Paine now has
his say on the events that took place between David Warner and Quinton De Kock.
The Australian wicketkeeper-batsman
stated that South Africa team manager Mohammed Mosaajee’s claims, that Warner
got personal against De Kock, aren’t true.
‘That’s completely false,’ Paine said in Port Elizabeth. ‘At
no stage was Quinton’s family mentioned, that’s 100% false.’
He questioned as to how the team manager could have heard what
David Warner said from where he was seated, while stating that he had not heard
anything personal come out from the mouth of the Australian vice-captain.

‘I don’t know how their team manager can hear from where
he’s sitting but from where I was, which was right near the whole time, there
was nothing we said that was inappropriate.
‘We like to make them feel uncomfortable out there, but we
don’t cross the line and bring people’s wives and family into the cricket
game.’
Both Warner and De Kock have been charged with level 2 and
level 1 breach of code of conduct by ICC for the incident that was leaked from
the CCTV footage. Paine, who was seen restraining Warner in the footage,
admitted that what happened wasn’t right and that he clearly heard what the
South African wicketkeeper said as he was right in between them
‘Obviously the situation wasn’t ideal for both sides and was
regrettable,’ Paine said. ‘But it’s disappointing that they’ve come out now and
said a few things that are just blatantly untrue.’
‘I think I was probably the only person that heard it,’
Paine said. ‘As I went past De Kock, he said what he said and luckily I suppose
I was there in between.’
