Shakib al-Hasan to captain Bangladesh Test team

In a spicy turn of events, Mushfiqur Rahim has been relieved of his duties as the Test captain of Bangladesh. Shakib al-Hasan will lead the side in the longest format of the game with Mahmudullah Riyad as his deputy, the BCB revealed.
The decision comes amidst the current coach-scouring situation as the Bangladesh Cricket Board is looking for a coach to handle the team. Whether or not Mushfiqur had a say in this decision is not yet known.
The wicketkeeper-batsman marshaled the Tigers for 34 Tests, winning 7 and drawing 9 while losing the rest. Meanwhile, Shakib al-Hasan also captained the Test side for 9 games and lost in 8 of them, winning the one solitary Test.

Despite the fact that Shakib's record isn't all too pleasing, what must be considered is that he became the captain for the first at a very young age and was perhaps not prepared for it.
Now, however, he has more experience and temperament and might as well go on to become a good captain for the Tigers.
