Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto said ‘Job not done yet’ despite Bangladesh thrashing New Zealand by 150 runs in the first Test in Sylhet on Saturday, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
Resuming on the fifth and final day at 113-7 with another 219 runs needed for victory, New Zealand added 68 runs for their last three wickets, ending their second innings all out for 181 runs.
Taijul Islam grabbed his second 10-wicket haul in the Test as he claimed the last two wickets to finish with 6-75, adding to his 4-109 in the first innings.

"Overall we played a very good match. I'm very happy to have won the first Test match as a captain," Shanto told reporters at the post-match press conference in Sylhet.

"We had the belief that we could win this match. I said that before the Test because I believed we could win. I think the belief was within everyone,”
The second Test of the series will be held in Dhaka between December 6 and 10.
"The job is only half-done. Another match is left and it's not as if we will go there and win it too. We'll have to work for five more days for that victory" added Shanto, who got his career’s fifth Test hundred in this match.
The two-match series is the beginning of a new cycle in the World Test Championship for both teams.
