Following the action-packed journey of the World Cup, Bangladesh and New Zealand find themselves immediately to play the two-match Test series.
The series is part of the 2023-25 ICC Test Championship, Bangladesh's first series in the new cycle.
New Zealand have already arrived in Sylhet for the Test Championship series, with some members set to leave tonight. Simultaneously, the Bangladesh team is gearing up for a night flight on Wednesday to Sylhet, the designated venue for the first Test.
New Zealand and Bangladesh had initially planned a two-day warm-up match as part of their preparation for the upcoming Test series.

As the series is right after the World Cup, Bangladesh board took this decision to ensure a few days of rest for the cricketers as per NZC’s request.
