India is set to host Afghanistan for three-match T20I series which is their first white-ball series scheduled to be played in January.


The first T20 of the series will be played on January 11 in Mohali before moving to Indore for a second match on 14 and the final match will be in Bengaluru on January 17.

India and Afghanistan have never played against each other in white-ball cricket outside of the ICC and ACC tournaments.

Both sides did take on each other in a one-off test match in 2018.


India will be taking on Australia in a five-match T20I series that is scheduled to begin on November 23.
