Bangladesh Women’s team captain Nigar Sultana Joty urged to support the Bangladesh Men’s cricket team who are eliminated from the ODI World Cup.
The Tiger's remorseful performance in the tournament drew a lot of criticism from the cricket fraternity. Despite facing six consecutive defeats, Joty has urged fans to continue supporting the team as Bangladesh still has two more matches against Sri Lanka and Australia.

“We are going through a rough phase. We are failing to do whatever we are trying to execute. It doesn’t imply that we don’t play good cricket. People will talk a lot, since I’m a fan and a cricketer of Bangladesh team I think we should back the side and support them because we still have two matches remaining,” Joty said in the press conference.
Bangladesh Women’s team recently secured victory in the T20I series against Pakistan. Joty emphasized that there should be no differentiation in terms of limelight between the men's and women's teams, as both represent the Bangladesh cricket team.
“First of all, Men and Women both represent the Bangladesh cricket team. I don't see anything taking the limelight . Because we are playing from our position they are playing from there. But at the end of the day, we are representing Bangladesh,”
"The most important thing is that they are not doing well, now if we do well, we won’t be highlighted. No matter how you differentiate. Good and bad days will come. We want to highlight our cricket like we do,” she added.
