Bangladesh prime all-rounder Shakib al Hasan as known as ‘Banglar Nawab’ faced an unwanted experience in Mirpur on Thursday as he suddenly left his team and came to Bangladesh from ODI World Cup yesterday.

Tiger captain practiced alone in Mirpur indoors yesterday followed by a three-hour session with Nazmul Abedin Fahim, his childhood coach and BKSP's current cricket advisor today, while his team are preparing to face Netherlands in Kolkata Saturday.

The cricket fraternity has been criticizing Shakib for his unexpected move but today he faced direct criticism from general people, who are very much frustrated with Bangladesh’s ongoing bad performances in World Cup.

Bangladesh have suffered four defeats in five games and sit at number nine in the 10-team group.

Shakib got out for just one run against South Africa in Mumbai on Tuesday as he got out by playing a bad shot, he was tempted to hit the stumps with the bat in frustration.

This all-rounder, who spent the last World Cup like a dream, is seeing the opposite in India. Despite playing an innings of 40 runs against New Zealand, he scored only 16 runs in the remaining three innings.

He took three wickets against Afghanistan in the first match with the ball but managed to take only one wicket each in the next three matches. He missed India match due to an injury in the middle.

Shakib expected to join the team tonight. The team have a practice session at Eden Gardens on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm and in Friday from 2pm to 5pm.
