Bangladesh Women beat Pakistan by five wickets in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
Bangladesh chased down the below-par target of 83 runs as skipper Nigar Sultana Joty finished off the chase in style, blasting a boundary to bring the match to an end.
Nigar played an unbeaten knock of 26 runs off 28 deliveries aided by three boundaries while Murshida Khatun scored crucial 23 runs for the Tigress.

Nahida Akter grabbed five wickets to bundle Pakistan for 82 runs in 19.4 overs after opting to bowl first. The left-arm orthodox returned a figure of five wickets conceding eight runs in his 3.4 overs.

Apart from Nahida, Sultana Khatun, Rabeya Khan and Shorna Akter each picked up one wicket.
Nahida removed both the openers Sidra Ameen (4) and Muneeba Ali (16) within the first powerplay.
Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar tried to pull things up and added a 31-run partnership until skipper Nida was removed by Rabeya Khan.
The bowler also castled top-scorer Maroof with a stunning run-out in between a couple of deliveries. She departed scoring 20 runs off 29 balls. Pakistan kept losing wickets in regular intervals and eventually managed to set 83 runs.
