Dhaka registered a seven-wicket win against Sylhet in the second round of the 25th National Cricket League (NCL) at Shaheed Chandu Stadium, Bogra.
Dhaka easily chased down the 72-run target in 18.2 overs on Day 3 after folding Sylhet for 116 runs in the second innings. For Dhaka spinner Nazmul Islam Apu picked up a five-wicket haul to humble Sylhet.
Apu and Shuvagata Hom shared eight wickets together to rattle down Sylhet's batting lineup.

Opener Abdul Mazid played an unbeaten innings 26 off 43 deliveries and Joyraj Sheikh scored 20 while chasing the target.

Earlier, opting to bat skipper Zakir Hasan smashed 85 runs to help Sylhet post 212 runs. Tail enders Rejaur Raja and Abu Jayed Rahim also played brief innings of 35 and 34 runs respectively.
In reply to Sylhet’s total, Dhaka scored 256 taking a lead of 44 runs with the help of Rony Talukdar’s 63 off 171, skipper Saif Hassan’s 45 off 71 and Shuvagata's anchoring 52 which featured six boundaries and two sixes.
