Bangladesh young opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim, who was included in the World Cup squad in place of veteran Tamim Iqbal, found his touch against India yesterday, but his effort gone in vain because of their huge defeat against the hosts.
Tanzid stood out with some refreshing aggression at the top of the order with Litton Das to give Bangladesh hope to bring back the historic memory of the 2007 World Cup.
In 2007, the sixes from an 18-year-old Tamim hit against pacer Zaheer Khan in that game remains an iconic moment in Bangladesh's cricket history.

Tanzid scored 51 from 43 balls with some power hitting but he regrets that he couldn’t make it big and the innings didn’t help to win the game.
"All in all, Alhamdulillah... But if I could make it bigger from there, it would be good for the team, it would be good for me." Tanzid said.
“If the team doesn't win, the innings becomes worthless. It sure feels good when the team wins. It feels good to contribute to the team. We are not worried about what happened. We are thinking ahead.”
The way he batted in the first 7 innings, he was uncertain to be included against India. Despite that, the team has faith in him. He is happy to repay that. He wants to carry the experience of this innings in the future.
“The team management, the coaches, they had faith that I would do well. I am trying to do it that way. I have failed in the last three matches. I managed to do something today. Will try to make up for the deficits here in the next innings." he added.
Bangladesh will face South Africa at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on October 24th.
