Bangladesh skipper Shakib al Hasan rued over the missed opportunities and admitted that 320 runs would have been chasable at Dharamsala.

Dawid Malan plundered Bangladesh with 140 off 107 to pile up a mammoth total of 365 after being sent to bat first at the dry and bouncy wicket at Dharamsala which is favorable to the batters.

England were on the verge to score 400 plus but the Tigers were able turn around and restrict them to 365 runs.

Shakib stated that the fast bowlers failed to work on their plan that propelled England to set a huge total. As a result, Bangladesh were crushed by 137 runs in their second World Cup match at Dharamsala.

“It was a good toss to win, there was some rain last night. There was some help for the faster bowlers but we didn't start well. When you give them a sniff, they will always come at us strong. We did well in the last 10 overs but it will always be tough to chase 350,” said Shakib after the match.

“We planned well, but we couldn't execute. The ball was swinging nicely, needed to put in the right areas and build momentum. I think the position they were in, they could have scored 380-390, we restricted them well. But I think 320 would have been a good total to chase here,” he added.
