Bangladesh suffered a huge defeat against England in their World Cup clash as the defending champions beat Bangladesh by 137 runs in Dharamshala Tuesday.
In 2011 and 2015 World Cups, Bangladesh beat England in both occasions but this time England bounced back to take revenge.
Jos Buttler's men showed no signs of a hangover after the nine-wicket mauling they suffered at the hands of New Zealand in their tournament opener.
Reece Topley quick fired to crumble Bangladesh’s top order in their 365 chase, losing Tanzid Hasan and in-form batter Najmul Hossain Shanto in the second over.
Bangladesh got off to a flier by trio of boundaries from the bat of Litton Das off Chris Woakes but in the very next over, the Tigers suffered a double blow, with opener Tanzid and Shanto getitng caught in consecutive deliveries Topley.
Tanzid edged at an away moving delivery to Jonny Bairstow at second slip to depart for just one, while Shanto also got caught at point for a golden duck to Liam Livingstone as Bangladesh slipped to 14-2.
Shakib al Hasan could not pull Bangladesh either, who lost 2 wickets quickly as a brilliant delivery by Topley bowled the left-handed all-rounder.
Shakib could not get to the line of the straight ball by pitching off stump. The stump blows away the edge of the bat. Shakib scored 1 run off 9 balls.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who was playing in a make-shift role for Bangladesh, came to bat on five but failed this time to Woakes for eight.
Litton finally got his touch to play an aggressive fifty and made a 72-run partnership with Mushfiqur Rahim.

But the former vice captain of Bangladesh nicked one behind with a lazy shot after playing 76 off 66 balls and Woakes broke the handy stand with his second wicket to put Bangladesh for 121/5.

Topley scalped his fourth with Mushfiq’s wicket, who scored 51 and got caught by Adil Rashid.
Towhid Hridoy scored 39 and the tailenders were only managed to minimize the defeat as Bangladesh got out for 227.
Topley grabbed four for 43 runs, while Woakes got two.
Earlier, Dawid Malan’s swashbuckling century put England on top as the Three Lions posted 364.
Shakib won the toss and elected to bowl first but it backfired when England’s openers knocking Tiger bowlers for a hundred run partnership.
During 17th over, Shakib stunned opener Bairstow, who was playing his 100th ODI, with a brilliant arm delivery to uproot his stumps as the captain of Bangladesh broke a 115-run opening stand.
As Bairstow's 52-run innings came to an end, Shakib flighted one outside off before drawing his length fuller and having one go through the bat and pad.
But Malan continued to flow the run-wheel with Joe Root as they put 151 partnership before Mahedi Hasan clean bowled Malan.
Malan, who has displaced Jason Roy at the top of the order, cruised to his fifty off 39 balls with a mixture of timing and power.
Malan hit his sparkling fourth century to help England pile up a mammoth total, scored 140 off 107 with 16 fours and five maximums.
English skipper came up to keep the run going but his cameo innings of 20 from 10 came to an end, a knuckle ball off Shoriful Islam angled across wide of the stumps, hard to time the cross-batted swipe and it cannoned down into the base.
Root holed out for 82, top-edging a Shoriful ball that was caught by wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim and Liam Livingstone had his off-stump flattened first ball.
Harry Brook flickered briefly before finding Litton Das at long off to give Mahedi his second wicket.
Bangladesh had done well to wrestle back some momentum and Sam Curran was next to go, caught on the boundary off the bowling of Mahedi.
Mahedi finished his spell with 4 for 71, while Shorful got three.
Wickets kept tumbling but a few late blows meant England set Bangladesh a daunting 365 to win in their 50 overs.
Bangladesh will face New Zealand in their third match at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Friday.
