Bangladesh won the bronze medal in men's cricket event of the Asian Games on Saturday with a thrilling six-wicket victory in DLS method over Pakistan in Hangzhou.
This is Bangladesh's second medal in this year's Asian Games. Earlier, Bangladesh women's cricket team also won bronze.
After losing the toss and batting, Pakistan scored 48 runs in 5 overs and the rain started. After that, when it rained for a long time, Pakistan did not get a chance to bat. Bangladesh's target was to 65 runs in 5 overs (D/L method).
Bangladesh needed 20 runs in Sufiyan Muqeem’s last over to chase the target.

Yasir Ali got out on the fifth ball after hitting 16 runs off the first 4 balls. Bangladesh needed 4 runs off the last ball to win.

Rakibul Hasan hit a mid-wicket boundary off the last ball to secure Bangladesh's victory. Yasir scored 34 runs off 16 balls for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh lost two wickets in the first over as Zakir Hasan and captain Saif Hasan both returned for naught.
After that Afif Hossain and Yasir's 44 runs off 22 balls showed Bangladesh the way. In the last two overs, Bangladesh needed 25 runs in 2 overs.
Then in the fourth over Arshad Iqbal took the wicket of Afif and the equation became difficult. But Yasir-Rakibul helped to clinch bronze for the Tigers in the last over.
Afif scored 20 runs off 11 balls. Pakistan's Arshad took 3 wickets with 14 runs in 2 overs.
