England’s fast-bowler Stuart Broad is set to be honored for his outstanding performances for the country as The Pavillion End at Trent Bridge is set to be renamed as the Stuart Broad End.

Broad said ‘The Pavilion End’ holds a special place in his heart as he bagged the only Test hat-trick at the venue, against India in 2011.

“It's a bit surreal to think that part of the ground where I fell in love with cricket will now bear my name," said Broad in a statement.

"Playing for Notts (Nottinghamshire) has meant so much to me and I've been so grateful that, wherever my career has taken me, I've always been able to come home to Trent Bridge,”

"As someone who is Nottingham born and bred, this is an incredibly proud moment for myself and my family."

Broad retired from Test cricket in July after England's 2-2 draw with Australia. He finished his Test career with 604 wickets, which is the most by any English player and the fourth most by any bowler.
