New Zealand's interim head coach Luke Ronchi stated his side is aware of the challenge and conditions posed by Bangladesh.

Tigers have always proved to be a strong contender in their soil and were able to outclass opponents in spin-friendly conditions.

“There will be turn, it is a big deal here. Conditions have changed. The score will also be different here. There have been many big scores in England. It was easy to bat, but a bit difficult for the bowlers. It will be different here. Maybe a low score. A lot of old-school ODIs will come back. I think adapting here is (important), want to do it quickly,” said Ronchi.

New Zealand opted to play the series without several regular cricketers including Kane Williamson, Tom Latham, Glenn Philips as the team decided to reduce the workload ahead of the World Cup.

"It will be a great series, Playing here will be a challenge for anyone from New Zealand. But I think that's what guys want. It's exciting to be here, hopefully playing in front of a good crowd. It's a bit hot and humid here. It's a big deal. But the boys practiced well. Those who came from England rested on the first day. But the boys are working hard. Preparing as much as possible for the first match,” he added.

Bangladesh will play the first ODI against New Zealand on September 21, followed by the next two ODIs played on 23rd and 26 September respectively.
