Nic Pothas will act as the head coach of the Bangladesh cricket team in the first and second ODI of the three-match series against New Zealand in the absence of Chandika Hathurusinghe.
Hathurusinghe will miss the first two matches as he will be in Australia with his wife, who is undergoing a major surgery.

“Chandika Hathurusinghe will not be in the first two matches of the New Zealand series. His wife has major surgery. He will return on the 25th and will join the team on the 26th of September. In his place, Pothas will be interim head coach,” said Jalal Yunus.

Bangladesh will play the first ODI against New Zealand on the 21st September, followed by the next two ODIs played on 23rd and 26th.
