Miraz eyes trophies with new Tigers of Bangladesh Cricket
15 Mar 25Bangladesh's wicket-keeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim will miss Friday's Super Four match against India as he has been granted an extension of leave by the Board to be with his newborn child and family.
Mushfiqur returned to Dhaka after the Super-4 match against Sri Lanka to be with his wife for their second child. He was expected to join the Tigers camp on Thursday for the India match but there is a sudden change in plan.

"Mushfiqur has informed us that his wife is still recovering, and he needs to be by her side and with their children at this time. We fully understand his situation and have decided to permit him to skip the game," said BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Mohammed Jalal Yunus.
Bangladesh are already out of the tournament with consecutive defeat against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the Super-4 matches.
Bangladesh will face India in the last Super-4 match on September 15 at R. Premadasa Stadium.
