Players' union calls for reform of 'chaotic' global cricket calendar

Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been roped into the Rangpur Riders squad for the forthcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Ace-allrounder Shakib al Hasan also joined the franchise, he will lead the winners of the 2017. He played for the Barishal franchise for couple of years.

The next edition of BPL is set to be held in the first week of January next year after the Bangladesh national elections 

Besides, the players draft will be held in the last week of September.

Rangpur has also retained Nurul Hasan Sohan, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan and Hasan Mahmud. Pakistan captain Babar Azam is also added by the former champions of BPL. 

Hasaranga played 157 T20 matches and has taken 216 wickets and scored 1760 runs with the willow.
