Injury has decimated Sri Lanka's bowling line-up, with Dilshan Madushanka already ruled out of the Asia Cup and Lahiru Kumara also likely to be absent. This comes after Dushmantha Chameera was previously ruled out of the tournament.
Legspinner Wanindu Hasaranga is also suffering from a grade two thigh strain and may miss the Asia Cup, depending on how quickly he recovers and how long Sri Lanka remains in the tournament. In any event, it is improbable that he will play a role in the group stage.

Madushanka had torn an oblique muscle during a practice game on Friday, and may even be battling to regain fitness ahead of World Cup in October.

Kumara, on the other hand, has a reoccurring side strain. His recuperation period is not likely to be as extensive as that of Chameera or Madushanka, but he may also miss the Asia Cup entirely.
Sri Lanka's first match of the Asia Cup is against Bangladesh, on Thursday as they are yet to announce Asia Cup squad.
