Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan sought prayers from supporters ahead of the Asia Cup after attending one of his commercial commitments in Dubai on Sunday.
The Southpaw, who has been named skipper of the ODI side for the upcoming Asia Cup and the World Cup in India later this year, left the country last month to play in the Global T20 League in Canada.

From there, Shakib went to Sri Lanka to play in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) prior making a trip to Dubai for fulfilling a commercial commitment.

"We have the Asia Cup and the World Cup approaching. Pray for us so that we can play well," Shakib said in his speech during the opening ceremony of the NRI Jewellery wholesale office in Dubai.
Former Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashraful was also present in the ceremony in Dubai.
Tigers' Asia Cup practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur has been going on sans Shakib.
