The Indian Cricket Board will announce the squad for Asia Cup on Monday, according to Cricbuzz head coach Rahul Dravid will attend the meeting in Delhi.
It was learned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made it mandatory for Rahul Dravid to attend the meeting considering the upcoming crucial assignments. This, however, will be for the first time in a long that a head coach will have a say in the selection of the team.

The prevailing impression suggests that the squad for both the Asia Cup and the World Cup will remain largely consistent.

The selection committee and team management aim to provide potential practice through a total of nine games-six in the Asia Cup and three against Australia-prior to the World Cup.
Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav seem certain picks because of what they have done over the past few years.
After the selection on 21st August, the players along with head coach Rahul Dravid will be heading to NCA in Bengaluru. The camp will start on August 24th before flying to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup.
