Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will sign with Desert Vipers for the ILT20's second season. He has a three-year contract with the franchise.
"I am excited to join the Desert Vipers. I know there are many Pakistan cricket fans in the UAE and I hope they will support our team in the upcoming ILT20," Shaheen said in a statement.

Shaheen will join the group after arriving from Australia following the New Year's Test in Sydney. The season is set to start on January 13.

Shaheen will join a bowling attack that already includes Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, Tom Curran and Sheldon Cottrell among others.
Azam Khan was set to become the first Pakistani player in the ILT20 when the Vipers signed him last year, but the PCB ultimately decided against giving him a No-Objection Certificate to compete in the tournament.
