Mushfiq eyes better results than previous four World Cups

Bangladesh stalwart Mushfiqur Rahim aims for a better show at the upcoming 50-over World Cup 2023, he wants to achieve significant outcomes compared to his previous four World Cup appearances.
The ICC Cricket World Cup trophy was put on display at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today. Mushfiqur, one of only three cricketers who will be part of every World Cup since 2007 was the one to carry the trophy to the stadium.

“Experience is definitely important. No matter how good on paper, whoever plays well on a given day will win. And most importantly I am very lucky to have played in the last four World Cups. This year also I would like to achieve much better results than the previous four World Cups,” said Mushfiqur.
Bangladesh are set to begin its World Cup campaign with the match against Afghanistan. Mushfiqur believes Bangladesh has the experience and abilities to do well at the upcoming grand event.
“We believe that we have that capability. It all depends on how we play on a given day.It is important that we start well. Since we are an experienced team, we have been playing consistently well for the last four-five years. It is hoped that I will do a good result,” he added.
Meanwhile, pacer Taskin Ahmed reflected on Bangladesh pacers who are at their peak currently. He also expressed his confidence in achieving positive results for the team in the upcoming World Cup.
"It's really amazing to see our pacers doing well and we did a huge amount of work to implement our pace-bowling unit. We will continue to strive to bring out much better results. We are hoping for good result in the World Cup," said Taskin.
