Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed played in the franchise league for the first time as he has impressed all with his aggressive bowling in the inaugural Zim-Afro T10.

Shortest version of cricket T10 is quite challenging for bowlers but Taskin was quite successful in the first time. Taskin took 11 wickets in 7 matches in the tournament for Bulawayo Braves with an economy of 7.63 runs.

The speedster shared his story to media at the Dhaka airport on Sunday (July 30) after his return. He told about the new experience.

"It has been a good experience, if you can execute) your strength well, whether it is Test cricket or T10, it is effective everywhere," Taskin said today.

“I played T10 for the first time. It was a totally different experience. From the first over they (batters) actually tried their best to hit. Three overs out of ten overs are power plays. Two overs with the new ball, you can take another at any time. I did most of the time during the power play. Two fielders out. In spite of that, I finished the tournament in a good economy and had a good challenge,” Taskin added.

Taskin played brilliantly but his team was knocked out before the final. Despite regretting it, Taskin is satisfied with his performance.

"Personally it was a good experience. Playing franchise cricket for the first time, the experience was good. Although as a team we could not play the final. But personally I played fairly well,”

Taskin earned a call-up in the ongoing Lankan Premier League (LPL) while playing for Zim-Afro. But Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not give him a No Objection Certificate considering the workload management.

Taskin is not unhappy with the board's decision as there are Asia Cup-World Cup ahed.

While playing this league, cricketers from different countries of the world have offered their country's league. Taskin said that after playing three editions, if there is time, he will play.

“Allah kept me healthy is the greatest blessing. If I am healthy, I can play in many leagues. And since the board has decided, my workload is high at the moment. Apart from this, they talked about compensation. All in all, it's okay.' said Taskin about not being able to play in the LPL.
