T20 World Cup 2024 set to begin on June 4: Reports

The ninth edition of the T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 4 next year in West Indies and the United States, as per report by ESPN Cricinfo.
The tournament will be played in a span of 25-day span, with the final scheduled on June 30. It was also reported that the matches will be conducted across ten venues in West Indies and the USA.

An ICC team has inspected some shortlisted venues, including Lauderhill in Florida, Grand Prairie stadium in Dallas, Church Street Park in Morrisville and Van Cortlandt Park in New York.
The upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup will differ from previous editions as it includes 20 teams divided into groups of four, with five teams in each group. The top eight teams will move on to the Super 8s, where they will be divided into two groups of four. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
Ten teams, including the hosts, West Indies and the USA and the top eight teams of the 2022 T20 World Cup- India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka had already qualified for the main event, while Afghanistan and Bangladesh will participate owing to their T20I rankings.
