15 Mar 25A valiant effort by Yousuf Pathan and Mushfiqur Rahim helped Joburg Buffaloes secure a six-wicket victory against Durban Qalandars in the first qualifier of the Zim-Afro T-10 league at Harare Sports Club, Harare.
Yousuf starred with a 26-ball 80 featuring four boundaries and nine sixes to chase down the daunting target of 141 runs with Mushfiqur significantly contributing as an excellent support and was unbeaten on 14.
Mushfiq wasn't part of the starting lineup initially, he later entered as an impact substitute and came to bat at number 5 when Joburg was struggling at a score of 57-4.

Then, the duo flipped the scenario and added 85 runs, thanks to Yusuf who struck two fours and an equal number of sixes when they required 20 runs in the final over.
Earlier, Durban Qalandars got off to a flying start as Andre Fletcher showcased his class as he blazed with a breathtaking 39 runs off just 14 deliveries.
Joining the party Asif Ali played a sensational innings, scoring 32 runs off just 12 balls.
The middle-order batsmen, Mick Welch carried the baton forward, smashing his way to 24 runs off only 9 balls. Opener Mirza Baig played a composed knock of 20 runs off 16 balls.
Noor Ahmad was the pick of the bowling attack as he scalped two for Joburg.
