Former South Africa cricketer Allan Donald revealed the secret behind England duo James Anderson and Stuart Broad’s longevity in red-ball cricket.
Anderson and Broad are the only two bowlers to reach the 600-wicket mark in Test cricket history. Donald lauded their passion, stating that it's their desire which took them so far in the longest form of cricket.
“Stuart Broad and James Anderson are just being sublime and I mean that in the red ball format,” Allan Donald told Ab de Villers during the 360 Show.

“Its unbelievable. They look after themselves really really well. I just think that those two guys thrive on be the best they can collectively be in a Test arena. They absolutely love Test format and what example they are being to any young fast bowlers around the world,”
“Anyone wants to be Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad … gosh I guess lot of people would love to go and sit down with them and ask their secret behind this longevity. It’s just their hunger, desire, passion for Test cricket,” he said.
He further stated that the two individuals have developed a healthy sense of competition that motivates them to succeed.
“I think there is a competitive edge between them, They drive each other, they inspire each other and that’s how they get themselves to almost untouchable level. I have got nothing but utmost respect for those two guys,” he added.
