In a nail-biting encounter at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh cricket team managed to snatch a two-wicket win from the jaws of defeat against Afghanistan.
Towhid Hridoy, who had played a remarkable innings of 47 not out, helplessly watched his teammates succumb to the hattrick of Karim Janat. However, his confidence remained unwavered, and he believed in their ability.
"I was nervous when I didn't get strike in the last over, but I was confident to finish the match as a batsman," Hridoy said in the post-match interview.
With just one run needed off the last two delivery, the crowd held their breath as Shoriful Islam smashed a boundary, sealing victory for Bangladesh.

Hridoy also lauded Shoriful for taking the winning run, he said he had faith in him.
"I already had faith in Shoriful, because I know his potential. We have played in the under-19 team together and he can hit big sixes. I believed so when Shoriful came. I said one thing to Shoriful, 'Run even if you don't hit the bat. You will win the match.'" added Hridoy.
