Sri Lanka announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan, which begins on July 16.
Dimuth Karunaratne will continue to captain despite revealing his wish to step down from the role ahead of the new ICC World Test Championship cycle.
Left-arm pacer Dilshan Madushanka has been named into the squad. The 22-year-old was named in the squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022.

He has played played 6 ODIs and 11 T20Is and was recently the Player of the Match in the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier final against the Netherlands, picking up 3/18 in an impressive new-ball spell.

Off-spinner Lakshitha Manasinghe has earner maiden call-up, the off-spinner was called up to the Test squad for the matches against Pakistan last year as cover for Maheesh Theekshana.
The series begins on July 16 in Galle before the second Test starts on July 24 in Colombo.
