Bangladesh T20 captain Shakib al Hasan believes the dressing room environment stay the same despite winning or losing any series.
Bangladesh lost the ODI series 2-1 against the Afghans but ensured a seven-wicket win in the third ODI. The Tigers had a rough time when they lost their regular captain Tamim Iqbal midway through the series.
Tamim announced to retire from International cricket amid the series, but later reversed his decision and was given a ‘mental break’ for 1.5 months.

However, ace allrounder Shakib brushed off all the uncertainties regarding the team and stated that the match result has given birth to misconception.

“It might look different from the outside, but I don't feel we were unsettled in the dressing room. I think the environment has stayed healthy. Of course, the results could influence your opinion about the state of the dressing room. I don't think the dressing-room environment is dependent on whether we win or lose.,” said Shakib in the press conference.
"As players, we stay focused on where we can improve each day and how we can contribute to the team," he added.
Shakib reminded there are no small or big teams in the T20 format but remained confident to win the two-match T20I series.
"We've been improving in this format, which was evident in our recent performance. We've won some matches after the T20 World Cup. We want to keep up that progress," Shakib said.
"Afghanistan will pose a stern and different challenge. We have to remember that in T20 cricket, there is nothing like a big or small team. We swept the series against England but lost a match against Ireland. But, we want to win both of the matches in this series against Afghanistan and keep our winning spree in this format,” he added.
Bangladesh will square off against Afghanistan in the T20I series, starting on July 14.
