Bangladesh Women suffered a seven-wicket defeat against India on Sunday in the first T20I at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur struck a magnificent fifty in chase of the mediocre target of 115 runs within 16.2 overs.
Despite the early exit of the opener Shafali Verma for duck, the visitors were able to bounce back into game with the 70-run partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet.

Harmanpreet remained unbeaten on 54 off 35 including six boundaries and a couple of sixes and Mandhana played a knock of 38 runs with five 4's.

Sultana Khatun picked up a couple of wickets and Marufa Akter got one for Bangladesh.
Earlier, Bangladesh managed to put 114-5 in the allotted 20 overs. Shorna Akter played the highest knock of 28 runs and Sobhana scored the second with 23 runs.
Debutant opener Sathi Rani played 22 off 26 innings, hitting four boundaries.
Bangladesh will square off against India in the second T20I on July 11.
