Tamim Iqbal roped in by Fortune Barishal for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The team's contract with the Bangladesh ODI captain is for one season for now.
After confirming the contract with Tamim today, Fortune Barisal team owner Mizanur Rahman said, “Tamim Iqbal will play for our team next season.”
Tamim played for Khulna Tigers in the last BPL.

Shakib al Hasan was in Fortune Barisal. After playing for Barisal for last two seasons, Shakib has signed a contract with Rangpur Riders for the next season. And Barisal has taken Tamim as an icon cricketer in place of Shakib.
Tamim came into the discussion two days ago by announcing his sudden retirement from international cricket.
