Bangladesh batter Litton Das is set to lead the Tigers in the remaining two ODIs after the shocking retirement of former captain Tamim Iqbal. Litton said he is not worried about the sudden exit of the opener and believes it won’t affect the team negatively.
Liton led Bangladesh to a record 546-run win in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan in June, said the team was focused on the future as they seek to level the series on Saturday.
"No. Look, if he was injured, we would have played with someone else. I don't think there will be anything changed due to his retirement. Everything will be the same," Litton answered.

"No, really. Players are all the same. If Tamim Bhai got injured instead of retiring, would this question arise? Never. I think we need to look forward. What's gone is gone," he further said.

At a point, Litton lost his patience when more questions related to Tamim's retirement came forward and wanted to leave the press conference.
"Is this press conference regarding tomorrow's match? If not, then it's better for me to leave. You can call the BCB president or the coach if it's about his retirement. I'm here to talk about tomorrow's match," he said.
The second and third match of the series will also be held in Chittagong on July 9 and 11.
