Pakistan signed 'participation agreement' to compete in World Cup

International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday asserted that Pakistan have signed a participation agreement to compete in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was apprehensive about sending its team to India for the ODI World Cup but they have decided to change their perspective.

"Pakistan have signed a participation agreement to compete and we expect them to be there and have had no indications to the contrary," said a statement from ICC on the matter.

"All Members have to abide by the rules and the laws of their country and we respect that. But we're confident Pakistan will be in India for the Men's Cricket World Cup," added the statement.
The opening match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, featuring defending champions England and runner-up New Zealand, is set to commence on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will square off at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
