Hope, Pooran hit century as WI beat Nepal in World Cup Qualifier

Nepal suffrered a massive 101-run defeat against West Indies in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier played at Harare, Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Chasing a mammoth target of 340 runs, Nepal were bowled out for 238 runs in 49.3 overs.
Nepal were never in the game as they kept on losing the wickets after the early dismissal of Kushal Bhurtel (5) in the second over. Nepal were 92 for five during the 23rd over.
Aasif Sheikh and Rohit Paudel scored 28 and 30 runs, respectively, whereas Bhim Sharki (2) and Kushal Malla (2) were dismissed cheaply.

Gulshan Jha shared 68 runs for the seventh wicket. Jha made 42 with five fours and one six. Aarif Sheikh completed a half-century and eventually walked back for 63 (from 93 balls) after scoring four boundaries and one six.
Invited to bat first, West Indies started off weak, being held at 30 for 2 at the end of 10 overs.
Opener Kyle Mayers was dismissed for a measly 4-ball 1 in 1.3 overs while Johnson Charles, who came in at number three, was also sent back for a duck after being caught by Aasif Sheikh off Gulshan Jha in 4.2 overs.
West Indies opener Brandon King managed 31 runs in his 42-knock play, smashing two boundaries and two sixes, before being dismissed by Sandeep Lamichhane in 15.3 overs.
Captain Shai Hope brought some much-needed relief to the West Indies side, scoring a 129-ball 132, helping them put up 339 runs, losing seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Nicholas Pooran capitalized on a dropped catch (on 3 and 54) and completed his second ODI ton. He scored 94-ball 115 with ten fours and four sixes.
