Miraz eyes trophies with new Tigers of Bangladesh Cricket
15 Mar 25Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz believes the Tigers are a much better and experiemced team than they were in the 2019 World Cup.
Miraz emphasized the presence of experienced cricketers within the current squad, acknowledging that during the 2019 World Cup, he and other teammates like Litton Das were participating in their first-ever global event.
“Yes, of course (this team is better). But there are many experienced cricketers in this team. I was not that experienced in 2019, it was my first World Cup. Litton Das and many others had their first World Cup. We have a very experienced side in this World Cup," said Miraz.

The right-arm spinner also mentioned the collective experience of players like Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das and him-self, who have been representing their country at the international level for the past seven years.

“Those who are senior, they have been providing service for many years, have played many World Cups. Along with them, we who are there, Taskin-Litton-Shanto and others, we have played international cricket for 7 years. So we are very experienced. I would definitely put this team ahead, in terms of experience, in terms of guts and in terms of skill, in all aspects,” he added.
Miraz's expectations are higher as the team is better than before and he remained hopeful for a better performance at the global stage.
“Definitely a big opportunity (in this World Cup). The way we have played in the last one-and-a-half years, the way the team has got results at home and abroad, we have won at home, we can hope that this World Cup will be one of our best," he added.
