Shakib returns from injury as Afif-Naim named in ODI squad against Afghans

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announces the squad for next month’s three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Chattogram.
Injury-hit Shakib al Hasan back to the squad, who has missed the Test series due to finger injury, while Afif Hossain and Naim Sheikh returned to the side.
Opener Naim got the return call to the ODI squad after a great batting performance in the last season of Dhaka Premier League (DPL). Middle-oreder batter Afif also returned to the team after a good performance in the same tournament.

Taskin Ahmed also returned to the side after missing the Ireland ODIs in Chelmsford last month.

Meanwhile, Yasir Ali Chowdhury dropped out without getting a chance to play any match in the last series. Along with Yasir, Roni Talukdar and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury also lost their place in the team.
The three ODIs will be played in Chittagong on July 6, 8 and 11 respectively.
