The tournament was originally meant to be held entirely in Pakistan but a hybrid model became necessary after the BCCI said India would not travel to Pakistan.
Bangladesh will play their first match in Sri Lanka and then fly to Pakistan to play only one match, which will be the second match of the tournament and the rest will play in Sri Lanka, a source of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told Cricfrenzy.
The upcoming edition will feature two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage.
The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then face off in the final in Sri Lanka.
