Wicket keeper batsman Mohammed Mithun, who is out of the Bangladesh national team, got a team in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL). Galle Titans bought him for the base price of 20 thousand dollars (about 22 lakh taka).

However, big stars of Bangladesh like Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das and Nasum Ahmed did not get any team. All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Spinner Nasum Ahmed remained unsold too.

Among the Bangladeshi stars, Shakib Al Hasan is the only one who got a direct contract with the team. He has already been bought by Galle Titans.

The inaugural auction for the upcoming season of LPL is being held in Colombo today (Wednesday). In the auction, Mushfiq and Tamim, who have 50 thousand dollars base price couldn’t interest any franchise.

Taskin remained unsold at $40,000 and Litton Das at $30,000 base price, which was also the base price of Miraz. Nasum Ahmed did not get the team at the base price of 20 thousand dollars.

The fourth season of the LPL is scheduled to begin on July 31 and will continue until August 22.
