"Taskin actually trained really well during that rehab phase and I think physically he is in the best condition we all have seen. I think he will be ready to go if we decide to play him. There's nothing stopping at the moment; there's no injury but the bowling workload is a little bit of a concern leading up to the period so again he will also be assessed after today's training and we will make the call," he said.
Bangladesh is likely to assist fast bowlers and it was evident from Bangladesh's selection as well when they picked as many as five pacers in the squad.
"We have 7-8 fast bowlers on the radar, we can include them at any time. The coaches who worked with these cricketers in the HP's and Bangladesh Tigers camps should be credited. The pacers also adapted quickly for this stage. We are not confirmed yet whether we would play 3-4 pacers but I'm confident that they are well-prepared,"
Bangladesh are without a powerhouse Shakib al Hasan and Afghanistan are also without their ace all-rounder Rashid Khan, however, Hathurusingha said that they are focusing more on their strength rather than on the opponents.
"Most of their players, we don't know much about them. Anyway, we take a look at the opposition strength and limitation. But we more like 25 we focus on them. 75 we focus on what we do. But as you said, we don't know, so we can't control about that," he added.
